Artists Statement

I attended Buffalo State College, SUNY as an Art major before getting sidetracked by life and technology. I was a Mechanical Designer, then a Technical Writer at Eastman Kodak Company for many years, retiring in 2011. I've had a great time returning to my artist life since then.
I am currently exploring abstract painting, working primarily in acrylics. I like to start with color and shape, then see where it takes me. Often the result is a surprise and lands in a very different place from where I started.

I've been helped immeasurably by membership in two fantastic organizations: the Brockport Artist Guild, and my local Art Club in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where we live in the winter.
